Terms and Conditions - HSBC Philippines

General Provisions
  • Programme Period is from 1 February to 30 April 2010
  • The Programme is being conducted by HSBC Savings Bank (Philippines), Inc hereinafter referred to as 'BANK' or 'HSBC'
  • In the event of a dispute arising out of this Programme, the decision of the BANK as concurred with by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), shall be final.
  • The benefits under this Programme cannot be availed of jointly with benefits under any other ongoing HSBC Premier promotion

Incentive:

A Gift Certificate from Rustan's worth P3,000 will be given to existing HSBC Premier customers (the 'Customers') who refer a new customer who opens and maintains for six-months an account with HSBC Premier with the minimum Total Relationship Balance (TRB) of P4,000,000 or its foreign equivalent with a minimum of P500,000 in a Checking Account.

Mechanics
  1. The following conditions must be met for a referral to be considered successful:

    1. Referred customer must be new-to-bank, ie he must not have an existing HSBC account and must not have closed one during the past twelve (12) months;
    2. Referred customer must place fresh funds in his HSBC Premier account. For purposes of this Programme, funds transferred from an HSBC Savings Bank (Philippines), Inc will not be considered 'fresh funds';
    3. The new customer must register in Personal Internet Banking (PIB) and sign up for a Debit Card.

  2. The Incentive will be given even if the new HSBC Premier account is a joint account that includes an existing HSBC customer; Provided, that only one Incentive will be given for the new account, regardless of the number of new-to-bank customers who are part of the joint account.


  3. The date of referral must not be later than the date of the account opening.


  4. There is no limit to the number of new customers that can be referred during the Programme Period.


  5. If the referred customer terminates his HSBC Premier relationship within six months from the date of account opening or fails to maintain the minimum TRB and/or the minimum amount required in the Checking Account during this period, HSBC shall automatically debit from any of the referring customer's accounts the value of the Incentive received for the referral.


  6. If two different customers submit the same referral who opens an HSBC Premier relationship during the Programme Period, the person who first made the successful referral will be given the Incentive.


  7. HSBC Premier Terms and Conditions apply suppletorily to these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.


  8. The benefits under this Programme cannot be availed of jointly with benefits under any other ongoing HSBC Premier promotion.


Redemption Guidelines
  1. In order to redeem Incentive, Customers must sign the Redemption Form provided by their Relationship Manager (RM) and submit the same to the Bank within the Programme Period. The Bank will only process redemptions upon its receipt of the signed and completed Redemption Form.


  2. Processing of Redemption Forms will be accomplished not later than thirty (30) banking days from the Bank's receipt of the Redemption Form.


  3. A Customer may submit a Redemption Form as soon as his referral opens the Premier account and opens the Checking Account in accordance with the requirements herein.


  4. Redemption of the Incentive will be done as soon as the processing of form has been completed by the Bank and will be notified by the assigned Relationship Manager.


  5. All Incentives that are not redeemed sixty (60) days after 30 April 2010 shall be deemed forfeited in favor of the Bank with the concurrence of the DTI.


  6. The Incentives may be claimed by the customer or his authorized representative upon presentation of a valid ID (ie Driver's License, Passport, PRC License, or card-type SSS, TIN or BIR) at any Premier Centre of the Bank or from his Relationship Manger. Representatives must present the original authorization letter signed by the customer together with the customer's and the representative's own IDs.


  7. Validity of provided Incentive is one year from date of issuance.
