Terms and Conditions - HSBC Philippines

General Provisions
  • Programme Period is from July 5 to October 31, 2010.
  • The Programme is being conducted by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited hereinafter referred to as "BANK" or "HSBC".
  • In the event of a dispute arising out of this Programme, the decision of the BANK as concurred with by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), shall be final.
  • The benefits under this Programme cannot be availed of jointly with benefits under any other on-going HSBC Premier promotion.

Incentive:

The following Incentives will be given to new and existing Customers who add and maintain for six (6) months the required minimum amounts in their Savings/Checking Accounts

  • An 8GB Apple iPod touch for P500,000
  • A 32GB Apple iPof touch for P1,000,000
  • A White Apple Macbook for P4,000,000

In addition, new Customers who will join this promotion must maintain a minimum Total Relationship Balance (TRB) of P4,000,000 in their new HSBC Premier Account for at least six (6) months.

Mechanics
  1. The following conditions must be met by a customer to obtain the Incentive:

    1. He must place fresh funds in HSBC. For purposes of this Programme, funds transferred from an HSBC Savings Bank (Philippines), Inc will not be considered "fresh funds";
    2. For a new to bank Customer, he must not have an existing HSBC account at the time of opening the Premier account and must not have closed one during the past 12 months;
    3. Client/s will automatically be opened an AssetLink Facility. This will be against the fresh funds placed in the Savings/Checking account. The AssetLink portion of the Promo Terms and Conditions must be accomplished. Client will not qualify for the Promo if AssetLink portion is not accomplished.
    4. The AssetLink account should have a minimum tenor of 6 months. Documentary Stamp Tax (DST) is waived for ALN during the 6 month period.
    5. It shall be the client´s obligation to fund the designated Savings/Checking account for interest due upon usage of the AssetLink Facility, which should be apart from the secured amount.

  2. Joint accounts will qualify for the Incentive if at least one member of the joint account meets the qualifications mentioned above. However, the joint account will only be entitled to one (1) Incentive.

  3. If a Customer fails to maintain the minimum amount required in the Savings/Checking Account for the minimum 6-month period, HSBC shall automatically deduct the value of the Incentive received by the Customer from the Customer´s account.

  4. The Incentive shall be available on a first-come-first-served basis. Delivery of Incentive is free of charge.

  5. HSBC shall not be responsible for any defect in the Incentive. All queries, claims and requests relating to the manufacturer´s warranty should be directed to the relevant merchant/supplier. The Incentives are covered by the manufacturer´s one year warranty.

    In case the Incentive is defective, the following steps should be followed:
    Customer must contact PowerMac Center at the following Service Centers and report the defective unit:

    Customer must surrender the defective unit to Apple.

  6. HSBC Premier Terms and Conditions apply suppletorily to these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any inconsistency, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.

  7. The Incentive under this Programme cannot be availed of jointly with benefits under any other on-going HSBC Premier promotion.
Redemption Guidelines
  1. In order to redeem Incentives, Customers must sign the Redemption Form provided by their Relationship Manager (RM) and submit the same to the Bank during the Programme Period or 60 days after the Programme Period.

  2. Processing of Redemption Forms will be accomplished not later than 30 banking days from the Bank´s receipt of complete documents.

  3. All Incentives that are not redeemed 90 days after October 31, 2010 shall be deemed forfeited in favor of the Bank with the concurrence of the DTI.

  4. The 8GB and 32GB iPod Touch will be delivered to the Customer´s residential or business address in HSBC´s records within thirty (30) banking days from HSBC´s receipt of the Redemption Form, for Metro Manila addresses, and within forty-five (45) banking days, for non-Metro Manila addresses, subject to the following:
    1. No requests for redirection of deliveries to an alternate address will be entertained or allowed.
    2. Customers shall be contacted by the delivery provider to confirm the delivery schedule beforehand. Should delivery be unsuccessful due to unavailability of the Customers or his authorized representative on the confirmed delivery date, the Customers shall shoulder any re-delivery charges.

  5. When the Incentive is delivered, the Customer must provide a photocopy of the front and back portion of his valid photobearing ID (i.e. Driver's License, Passport, PRC License, or card-type SSS, TIN or BIR). If a representative will receive the Incentive in his behalf; the representative must present an authorization letter signed by the Customer together with the original and photocopies of the customer´s and the representative´s own valid Primary IDs. The representative shall be required to open the package and confirm that the Incentive is in working condition prior to release. Such confirmation shall be binding upon the Customer.

  6. The Customer will receive a Claim Voucher to claim the White Macbook at any of the PowerMac Centers. To claim, he must surrender the Claim Voucher together with the requirements indicated in #5.


Terms and Conditions - HSBC Savings Bank

General Provisions
