Push notifications

Get alerts for all your accounts and cards when you turn on your push notifications. You can turn them off or on again at any time.

If you disable push notifications for a particular category, email notifications for that category will automatically be activated.

You can also manage your push notification preferences separately. To get notifications only for credit transactions, tap the ‘Profile icon’ on your homepage and select 'Communication preferences. Then go to 'Push notifications' and toggle off notifications for debit transactions. Keep the toggle on for credit transaction notifications.

If you're turning on push notifications the first time, follow these steps:

1. Make sure your app version is updated.
2. Log on to the HSBC Philippines app.
3. Tap the bell icon in the top right corner of your screen.
4. Select 'Turn on notifications' to enable push notifications.

If you missed turning them on via our app, you can still enable push notifications. Just follow these steps: 

1. Go to your phone settings and search for the HSBC Philippines app
2. Under notifications, toggle on 'Allow notifications'
3. You may also enable the notification pop-up banners to be informed when you’re not on the app

Depending on your phone settings, notifications may show up in the following ways:

• On your locked phone screen
• In your notification centre
• As a pop-up message when you use your phone
• On your smart watch and other connected devices

You can review the push notifications you’ve had in the HSBC Philippines app for up to 90 days. Just tap the bell icon on the homepage.

Download or open the HSBC Philippines app, tap the bell icon, then accept to activate push notifications.
